1. Condenser Cover
Use a good outdoor condenser cover to prevent debris from falling inside your unit when it’s not in use for long periods of time. Such as during our heating season.
2. Clean the Condenser
Use your garden hose to clean down the outdoor condenser. This does NOT take the place of the annual deep-clean maintenance service, but it can help between cleanings, and to keep large debris from accumulating.
3. Replace Filters
Replace furnace filters often. Keep your furnace air filters clean and replace them often. Use less dense air filters in cooling season.
4. Replace Batteries
Replace the batteries in your thermostat annually to make sure it works properly for your heating and cooling needs.
5. Furnace Maintenance
Don’t neglect your furnace. Your furnace control board works with your air conditioning system, so make sure you do the annual furnace maintenance in the fall.
